About Southern Organics

Our goal is to change the way we all eat, get us back to the 'bare roots' mindset and away from pesticides and insecticides, if its bad for the bugs its bad for us. We believe in nourishing the land in the same way we nourish the body. work with the land and it works with us and that's what our organic farm in Oamaru does, highlighted by our award-winning produce. The flavor is unrivaled and the quality is second to none. We compost and return any waste to the soil for natural enrichment. This process makes the organic meals what they are and we focus on a 'do the vegetables justice' approach.

The team behind the curtains are the driving force of this change:

James Porteous the founder and visionary behind this drive started small with Organic Thai2go in Queenstown and has since branched out into other towns around the south island, Quick and healthy Vege filled meals are 'Good2go' 

Our head chef Adam Upham has taken on the challenge of expanding to ready made organic meals. Having worked in airline catering and àl a carte restaurants in both New Zealand and Australia, he has seen the regression from high quality produce and cuisine to sub par and tasteless meals with cheap imported ingredients. Adam presents restaurant quality meals at home for you! 

 Having come from a small Thai takeaway shop in Queenstown to owning an organic farm and multiple takeaway shops. we are growing in leaps and bounds to provide top quality product to as many people as possible. with this in mind we will continue to branch into other areas as well so keep our name in mind for all things Organic. our current goal is to provide you with healthy, nutritious Organic meals readily available to  you at home.
